Yes, I'm from Bemidji Minnesota.  To show you how starved they were 
for entertainment in the old days, here's something my grandfather 
would do for fun.  He would get a cup of water & get all dressed in 
his coat & stuff, with the cup of water inside.  Then he would walk 
out of the frozen lake & find a bare spot where the snow had blown 
away.  Then he would take out his cup & toss the water in the air 
where it would freeze quickly.  He liked to hear the tinkling of the 
ice crystals coming down & hitting the ice of the frozen lake.  Some 
kind of fun.
