I put back the Events information - maybe you all want to change it, that's ok. For some reason i felt a twinge of anxiousness when i went there and it was empty. People can change it, that's ok...

Ah people
and their twinges . . .

I am booting from floppy
No curl on the system
Can not get into Fedora

Why?

My Father in Law just died

I am sorry to hear that. May he be in peace. And may all of his loved ones be in peace, too.

Was it your Father in Law or your Step Father? I remember you mentioning that your Step Father had started eating again...

. . . and that is just this morning

We are now trying to contact my mother
(on holiday in Austria with Father in Law II)

I hope that you can get in touch soon, and that she will also be in peace.

(Yeah, i know i said that redundantly. Sometimes i am not sure what to say to properly express my feelings about death... but that would be a much longer post more suitable for elsewhere... not sure where though.)

Wonderful. Hey, do we have an official peace wiki humor page?
love and peace and moving,

Well the first thing to understand
is death does not make me gloomy

Good. Death is a part of life, and life should not make us gloomy.

So discussing and suggesting a humour page is fine
as he loved a good laugh I will dedicate it to him

What a wonderful thing to do. He would be happy, a fitting tribute.

and your new move

- is that a good idea?

Yes. Good idea.

After all you are both moving on

Well, what am i 'moving on' from?

The _expression_ 'moving on' sometimes gives me one of those little twinges of anxiousness. It's not the physical act of moving that produces the twinge of anxiousness, mind you, but the _expression_ itself. It feels loaded for me somehow. Grist for the mill.

No, i'm not moving on really... not even changing zip codes, lol.

But there is a certain pleasure in jettisoning accumulated 'things' - i am not into 'things' but sure have seemd to amass them over the years!!

:)

PS - Loved the computer humor in your other post.
Frequent diagnosis of computer malfunction: problem exists between chair and keyboard.
(well, that's sometimes the cause of my own computer adventures!)
See you all after the move...

Me too

I started on wikinews suggesting a place for future news
(so we could tell them about our peace event)

A wonderful idea.

What a dramatic Christmas present
a new dwelling

Yes, yes it is. Lizzie is staying with friends during the move, so will be a solo Christmas - now THAT feels strange, my child not with me at Christmas!

Desi was moving last year

are we having fun yet?

Yes. You know what the hardest and yet most fun part of moving is for me - the walks down memory lane while packing things - the associated memories that go with objects, like the glowing sparkling flashlight thingy we got at the Ringling Brothers Barnum & Bailey Circus when she ws 5 or 6. What a wonderful toy, what a wonderful memory - the mind is an amazing thing in how it serves us up delightful tastes of the past and lets us imagine or fantasize about the future. Wonderful.

:) Cool page... Was that a true story, did someone really pronounce you as dead? Seems the CurlChat resurrection was not the second resurrection at all!

OK, Santa if you are listening, i want 3 things for Christmas, a telephoto lens for my camera, first, and third, a decent way to format these emails!!!!

(and #2 is secret)

and (#0 is peace on earth goodwill to men)

love and peace,

joyce
