before we get too excited ...
the user list at Peace wiki ...
is the same list as that at Wiki city central.
iow ...
http://peace.wikicities.com/index.php/Special:Listusers
is the same list as:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HolyGeek/post

so while there are currently 138 members listed ...
that is not who is at Peace wiki ...
all it is saying is that there are 138 accounts
at Wikicities ... all of them ...
and they all have access to all wiki cities.

how many are active or have posted?
my guess is about 8 or 9 max.
how many actually come by and read?
anybody's guess.

perhaps it will increase a bit during the retreat.
or not.

i'm taking a break for awile {much applause} ;)
i have been working on it for 3 weeks now ...
and am burned out.
it was fun for awhile but now it isn't.

what i get off on is using whatever skills i have
to sus it out ... esp graphics and page layout ...
and then help folks like steve ... who knew nothing
about wiki's or that they even existed a few weeks ago ...
get to the point where they can begin to post pics
and poetry and construct a page where they can express
themselves however they wish.
now i see he is posting graphics as well as exploring
formatting text. great! love it.

i have some specific ideas about how we might better
do that ... make it more accessable to people who
don't know how to program or code. and it invoves
putting together some simple tutorials for people
to use. that is what i have been attempting to do.
but right now i'm still too pissed off to care much.
a lot of wasted time lately.
so i am outta there for a bit.

if it survives maybe we can salvage something from it
in a month or so and set it up a little different for
the long term.
i don't know how i can work on it offline ...
Lob ... is there some wiki type software that is available
so one can experiment on one's own comuter off-line?
that would be nice.

we will see.

see you next year.
