The 1946 Columbia catalog lists set X-210, Till Eulenspiegel with Rodzinski conducting the Cleveland Orchestra. I don't know whether it's from 1937, but this is certain to be the only recording of the work with those forces from anything approaching the right time. The phenomenon of recordings going in- and out of print within a few years (or months), and of the same conductor re-recording the same work multiple times didn't exist in the 78 rpm era (with certain notable exceptions). Whether it's Wendell Hoss playing the solo, or a Hoss of a different color (you just make it too easy <g>), I don't know. Norman Schweikert would be the most likely person to know that information. I do not have set X-210. HTH.
