I'd like to alert the Facebookers on this list about two societies celebrating specific horn players from several generations ago: http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Louis-Ricci-Appreciation-Society/104310589600124 http://www.facebook.com/#!/group.php?gid=220132339441&ref=ts I think it's encouraging that the families of Mr. Ricci and Mr. Sansone are acknowledging their respective horn playing legacies. Being that so much of what I've learned over the years is anecdotal, I would hope that more people would join these groups and share what they know / or think they know, about these men (and maybe start some Facebook societies of your own, I'm sure there's room for a Valkenier society and so on and so forth). And PLEASE, if anything I posted is just plain wrong, feel free to educate us all, I love to learn new things about these people (and their colleagues).
