Hello Klaus, watch the strange holding positions of most of the five horn players. The one player second from right (ex viewers perspective) should be Bruno Jaenicke, the assistant sitting on his left side.
I have that as video files, which are perfect clear & sharp black & white. These recordings were the first of a series filmed direct on film & sound track to be perfect synchronized. Giovanni Martinelli, the great tenor is also on these files and the violinists Mischa Elman & Ephrem Zimbalist. Great & extremely important documentaries indeed. Yes, the ouverture is filmed without audience, so the conductors bow & the orchestras "dog number" are rather comical. regards Hans ###################################################################### Am 08.08.2010 um 02:38 schrieb Klaus Smedegaard Bjerre: > <http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aX3fMnKRb-c> > > > The 5 horn players are well visible and would be recognizable for those in > the know. > > Klaus > > > > > _______________________________________________ > post: [email protected] > unsubscribe or set options at > https://pegasus.memphis.edu/cgi-bin/mailman/options/horn/hpizka%40me.com _______________________________________________ post: [email protected] unsubscribe or set options at https://pegasus.memphis.edu/cgi-bin/mailman/options/horn/archive%40jab.org
