1. How do you feel about the need for a physical CD? I would always choose the CD, all other factors being equal. Even if I don't use the physical CD other than to rip it to whatever device I listen upon, I still want the hard copy since I know how ephemeral electronic media can be. One catastrophic computer crash could destroy an entire library. Plus I like having all the liner notes which as yet cannot be packaged with the electronic version. I still own many lps and I really miss the large photographs from those sleeves.
2. How important to you is the the availability of a physical CD? very 3. Do you prefer to simply download the tracks and works you are most interested in, and leave the rest? No. It's nice to have the option sometimes, but I frequently find myself not liking some tracks at first and growing to like them later. 4. Does the physical CD and packaging make a huge difference to you in whether you would listen to the music? Not in whether I listen to the music, but it's enough of a hassle to download the files to my mp3 player that I would much rather just have a CD, even if it's an mp3 CD, to throw in the player. I prefer the quality of a lossless file, too. _______________________________________________ post: [email protected] unsubscribe or set options at https://pegasus.memphis.edu/cgi-bin/mailman/options/horn/archive%40jab.org
