I response to this: "I've done a bit more reading about the claim that people can tell the difference between Vinyl and a CD - but no one has actually been able to do this in a controlled experiment. Thus, it remains almost a religious type argument based on perception."
I do a weekly classical music radio show on our community radio station CJTR. For timing of the show I prefer cd's since they give me accurate lengths, BUT I have to boost the level to the top for volume. With records I leave the levels at the "set mark" or else they peak the meters. I prefer record on the show because of this, they broadcast better! It's is very provable in a controlled experiment.
