Damon K wrote Through the years, I've learned to control most of the side effects of performance anxiety. As we say in Toastmasters, I've learned to make the butterflies in my stomach fly in formation. But dry mouth continues to plague me in the most stressful situations--auditions and concerto performances. I've tried drinking gallons of water, sucking on lemons, Gatorade, and meditation, but I haven't found a reliable cure. I may try beta blockers, but before I do, I want to know what has worked for list members.
Then Bruce C suggested Have you tried any of Don Greene's books? I'm finding them helpful. ******* I find Don G's books solve the problem for me. Just rip out a page, pop it in your mouth, and chew on it for 30 seconds before that big solo. Works like a charm. Gotta go, Cabbage _______________________________________________ post: [email protected] unsubscribe or set options at https://pegasus.memphis.edu/cgi-bin/mailman/options/horn/archive%40jab.org
