Three come to mind: Joseph Horner, 3rd in Philadelphia with his brother, Anton; Ross Taylor, principal in Cleveland before Bloom and then co-principal in SF; Robert Wirth, 4th in the MN Orchestra, Ne: Minneapolis Symphony. I can also think of 2 pro violists who did it, one oboist, one organist, one trumpeter and one pianist. On the other hand, I can think of no conductors who committed suicide even though I worked for many who committed "musicide." KB In a message dated 10/6/2010 1:00:37 P.M. I've heard French Horn players also top the suicide list in orchestras as well. -S- On Tue, Oct 5, 2010 at 12:58 PM, Brass Arts Unlimited <[email protected]> wrote: > This tough: > > http://swampland.blogs.time.com/2010/10/05/which-military-jobs-are-most-prone-to-suicide/ > > -- > Regards, > > Dave Weiner > Brass Arts Unlimited _______________________________________________ post: [email protected] unsubscribe or set options at https://pegasus.memphis.edu/cgi-bin/mailman/options/horn/archive%40jab.org
