I agree that the performance was great. What irritated me most was the fact
that the video was just a little ahead of the audio. Most noticeable when
watching the percussion and uncomfortable while watching Boulez.

2nd movement starts with 1st horn open, 3rd horn muted. Bad camera work,
indeed.

The performance was great, the broadcast was a good reson to defund NPR.

The voice over guy said the 1st movment would begin with a "horn" solo. In
the world of popular music "horn'" has taken on the meaning of any wind
isntrument. You would expect an announcer doing the Chicago Symphony to be
able to destiguish and point out the difference between the Tenor Horn used
and French Horn.

Second movement - not sure but think it began with extended horn work. It
sounded like one or perhaps two horns or horn and tenorhorn. No one else
playing the camera stayed on Boulez the until other instruments were added.

Great music - bad television.
