I do the same thing but in my large kitchen sink with it's spray hose. Works 
like a charm. (Thank you Debbie.) I've had the valves looked at with a fiber 
optic scope and they are clean after the bath. I don't use anything but warm 
water. If you have a cut bell it's really easy to get the strong spray into the 
horn. I oil the horn and apply fresh slide grease when I'm done.
