That is a good one John. I would think that at least a couple of weeks or more not playing at all. And... this is a big and... I think I would avoid steriods if possible. Give it a little time to see if the hardness goes away on its own. Better to be cautious. Just a thought.

From what I have read it needs at least 6-8 months to heal and I can get steroid injections to help soften it, but what I want to know is if anyone has personally been through this. Should I try and play? How should I go about approaching practice so as to not make it worse?
