Just stumbled on a lovely (& free) collection of horn-accessible, not
unKoppraschlike exercises in the form of dance tunes, at IMSLP:

  T. Westrop's 120 Country Dances, Jigs, Reels, Hornpipes, etc.

They are much fun to read, and if you read in C then you can play along
with real instruments. These tunes make good transposing exercises, as
the melodies are obvious. This is similar to, in fact some overlap
with, Ryan's 1050 Reels and Jigs, which I have mentioned here before
(~$15 at Amazon). But Ryan is paper, and Westrop is a downloadable pdf,
so you can sit at your computer and read off the screen.

This is old print, with occasional errors. There are a few nice Spanish
waltz tunes at the end.
