Hi folks, Thanks to all of you who registered early and saved money on the Symposium. Your actions have met our quotas and helped us generate much needed cash flow. So it is a win win! There is still time to act for those of you still on the fence, as it were. The new "Regular" prices will go into effect on Monday, March 28th. These are the prices listed as 'non-early' on the web site. Registration Dorm beds are still available. If you want a single room, just buy both beds. if you have any questions, you can email me. We have about 50 left, so act now. Housing Options The Symposium itself is shaping up as a very exciting event. I would just like to put a word in now for the exhibitors, who I consider to be one of the keystones of any workshop. This is the only time each year that this number of horns and other horn materials will be in one place for you to try. When was the last time you could try Alexanders, Paxmans, Schmidts, Pattersons, and all the other factory and custom horns in the world in one place at one time? I know the answer. The list will be going up soon, but I know that it will include all of the above and a lot more. We are even going to open a couple of halls for you to try horns in on Thursday (and maybe some other times earlier in the week). So if you are interested in a certain horn, you will be able to try it in a hall. Where else you can you have this kind of experience?
I would also like to put in a word for a dear old friend, Jim Decker. He will have is IVASI exhibit going all week. You can play along with a conductor and orchestra on screen for pieces like Til, Mahler 5, Shost. 5th , Wagner and many others. You play off of the real parts in real time with others sitting with you in an ad hoc section. This is always very popular. Three thumbs up! There is so much more, and we are going to have a lot of fun in the process.
