There is a related story:

two friends walk to the church (catholic) to confess their sins. One goes in
the box to confess. They arrive at the
sixth command. Trouble, so the priest is helpful & ask the candidate: "Was it
Mary Poppins from 2345 East Street ?" "No, sorry !" "Was it Lil Dagover from
08/15 NW Street, perhaps ?" "No, sorry your honor !" "Let´s try another. Was it
Eve Honeypop from 1289 South with West ? "No, absolutely no !" - "Sorry, dear
poor fellow, I cannot give you the absolution, as you seem to be not willing to
confess !" - The fellow leaves the box but is asked by his friend: "Did you
receive the absolution of your sins ?" - "No, no way, but I got three very
promising addresses !" -

That is the same with this kind of spam mail.
