Hi Jeffery and all, I didn't know Calvin Smith personally, only by reputation. I send my condolences to the family, friends and students who loved him so. I would like to dedicate a performance of a work to him and the others who have passed during the last year or so at the upcoming IHS Symposium. It is a special new arrangement that I have done for an 8 part horn choir and i will conduct it. Please write to me or,just post them here if you have names of people that you would like to be honored in this way. Their names will be included in the program.
