Instead of La Traviata, maybe it should be titled Il giocatore di corno
ribelle (which is the best italian I can manage for "The Wayward Horn Player")

Subject: [Hornlist] La Traviata: advise on rhythm problems

Daniel,

There are 2 more variations of approach you can add to your growing arsenal.
The
first, instead of attempting to play just the 'off' beats, why not play the
passage with consecutive eigth notes? So where you have the rests, replace with
the same note as the off beat. You just need to work out where to breathe.

Secondly, if you take short breathes after each note, attempting to play them
on
the beat, the breathe should create a slight delay allowing these on beats to
play as off beats.

Regards to all from Queensland Australia,

Brian
