Tom, I take Zestoretic, an ACE-inhibitor, with a diuretic. It does not affect my horn playing at all, but you have to plan for bathroom breaks in the morning. :-)
I think if your concerns may be with beta-blockers, but speak with your doctor. Might be he's not thinking about your lifestyle. Make him/her aware of any and all concerns.
