It's way cool. Plus a gold surface feels warmer & smoother against the
player's lipskin than silver. If you're going with the gold, it's
important to get a quality plating job.
The real question is: What about a platinum or platinum-plated mouthpiece
or rim?

Is there any point in getting a 'gold plated' rim for an extra $20? Does
it serve any 'extra' purpose/function other than being 'hypoallergenic'?
