Bill Gross said: "I'm not going to vote for censorship any where." He also provided instructions for using Outlook Express rules to deal with off-topic posts.
Equating objections to off-topic posts with censorship is nonsense. Lists are by definition topical. Tolerance of off-topic posts can only drive away those interested in the ostensible topic. Nearly every adult inhabitant of the earth, including horn players, has an opinion about U.S. foreign policy, and there are plenty of places where such opinions are appropriate. So why here? Incidentally, using Outlook Express rules to deal with off-topic posts doesn't work for those who subscribe to the digest version, and doesn't work at all if someone just changes the name of the thread. _______________________________________________ Horn mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://music.memphis.edu/mailman/listinfo/horn
