Equating objections to off-topic posts with censorship is nonsense.  Lists
are by definition topical.  Tolerance of off-topic posts can only drive away
those interested in the ostensible topic.  Nearly every adult inhabitant of
the earth, including horn players, has an opinion about U.S. foreign policy,
and there are plenty of places where such opinions are appropriate.  So why
here?

Incidentally, using Outlook Express rules to deal with off-topic posts
doesn't work for those who subscribe to the digest version, and doesn't work
at all if someone just changes the name of the thread.
