Dear Professor Matlick and listers, I whole heartedly agree with the observation Dr. Matlick made regarding Froydis Wekre's live performances. I had the privilege to perform in the Pacific Lutheran University Wind Ensemble accompanying her in a performance of Strauss I in 1992. Her performance was BOLD and intoxicating. I had never before, nor since, heard Strauss I played with such drive and emotion. If the opportunity arises to hear her live you absolutely must go!
