Well, John, even we have some agreement regarding education, and as we agree, that many semi-professional horn players not only in the USA did not go into the full profession for severeal private reasons, while being qualified absolutely, your history remark about the BALKAN confirms my view about the inefficient knowledge of these kind of things as a result of a insufficient educational system. The Balkan was never Teutonic nor had it something to do with Teutonism. The different people there were of Slavic or Celtic or Albanic-Makedonic origin strongly influenced by the Turcs. Former Yugoslavia came under the Rule of the Austrian Empire by marriage & inheritance. There was just a very small county at the three country corner Serbia-Romania-Hungary, which became re-colonizated by German & Alsazian farmers after the devastation by the Turcs before 1740. As long as Yugoslavia had one ruler, even a dictator Milosevic or Tito, there were no killings between the different people. But when nationalism became stirred up & crazy democratization attempts began, the killing began. Every tribe chief wanted to be president or minister & the country finally split up into small units. Dealing with dwarf countries or economic units is much easier than with bigger countries. The whole issue is about money. But in Yugoslavia there was no oil, so the interest was not much. So far some history lesson.
