I think that everyone who knows baseball history would believe this to be unlikely, but I really hope (now that the A's are out) that the Red Sox and the Cubs make it to the Series. Both these teams deserve better than what they've gotten the past 80 years or so.
And as good as Bob Gibson was, what I remember about World Series pitching in the 60's is mostly NY Yankee Mickie Mantle's comment to John Roseboro (Dodger catcher) in the '63 Series while facing Sandy Koufax..."How does anyone hit this guy?", or words to that effect.
