Hans, Yes, very interesting....
I assume from your message that the manuscript was done by a copyist and not Franz himself, or am I misunderstanding? Any contemporary copy would be of great interest, but Strauss' holograph would have authority way beyond that of a copyist's. I am not a collector of such (presumably) high priced items myself, but I do work for an institution with extensive rare manuscript holdings. I would need a little more information before deciding whether or not it would be a good idea to pass your information along.
