Even the Weber is much easier if you use the F-side for the greater part except the very high notes or some notes at the bottom of the staff, to hit them stronger on the Bb-side. While in Vienna, we studied the Weber on a Pumpenhorn, using the A-crook & the corresponding shorter slides. Very easy, like playing E-flat horn on Bb-horn. Just some wise tricks, no cheating by no means.
PS: ask your conductor if he has ordered the parts already, as I cannot remember having received that order (??). Anyway, performance should be reported to ASCAP even it is a school performance covered by the schools agreement. ================================================ -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Sunday, December 07, 2003 5:02 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: [Hornlist] Rosetti 5 and E parts We're using the KaWe edition. Hopefully the conductor has contacted you about renting the parts, I referred him straight to you :) As to the conversation, I enjoy it as well and I hope my argumentative nature doesn't dampen an otherwise good work-related friendship. Rosetti 5, ah Rosetti 5... _______________________________________________ post: [EMAIL PROTECTED] set your options at http://music.memphis.edu/mailman/options/horn/archive%40jab.org
