Here from Germany, we had some contacts with the members & the orchestra
as a body, but as far as I know, some colleagues from Seattle went there
& got also contact with the musicians. This was before the 2nd Iraq War.

Interesting might be, that the even played a program with Mendelssohns
music few months before the war.

That they appear in Washington, well, this is a superb sign that the
orchestra survived the crisis & will contribute to the understanding
people each other by the international voice of music. Any support will
help them to survive in the near future in this economical crippled
country until things will return to normality.
