I think you are referring to a 1972 LP on the MPS/BASF label # 2021184-3. Joining Baumann are the Bulgarian violinist Stoika Milanova (b. 1945) and American pianist Malcolm Frager (1935 - 1991).
This appears to be the material later released on the 1981 MHS issue. (Same personnel.)
