what's a golf ball retriever? What does it look like? What does it do?
It's a telescoping rod with a golf ball-shaped cup at the end. You normally use it to fish golf ball outs of the water.
Compared to a dog that can perform the same function, it certainly reduces veterinary bills, but is not nearly as satisfying as a companion.
The dog, however, is mostly useless as a microphone stand.
