The lead pipe on my 20 year old Conn 8D recently rusted through putting a pin size hole in the pipe where the palm meets the hand grip. I've taped it up but I'm now looking to replace the pipe, preferably with a new Conn 8D lead pipe.
Does anyone know were I can get a hold of a few of them to tryout before buying? I'm aware of the custom replacement pipes by Atkinson, Lawson and Patterson but their prices are a bit more then I can afford right now. I was told that a new Conn pipe would cost about $150 but I've spent several hours online searching for one and no one seems to carry them. Any suggests would be greatly appreciated.
