The term "Tubby" is used by player's of medium bore horns to describe the
large bore sound. It is not used in a complementary fashion such as, "Gosh,
that is a great wide tone it is so nice and tubby?" More often the use is,
"God, that guy sounds like a @#$%^& baritone, no center all, tubby to the
max."

Tubby is considered by medium bore players to be the opposite of focused or
centered.
