Readers:

This is a reminder for you about the pending International Horn
Competition of America that will be hosted on the University of
Oklahoma Campus on August 18-21.  We are centrally located and have
easy flight access from all regions of the country.  The facilities are
first class and we have an exciting array of adjudicators.

For younger hornists, this is an exciting educational venue and allows
an opportunity to network and become aware of the high standards of our
musical profession.  For professionals, this will give a boost to
establish a solo career and credentials.

Prizes for the competition:

Professional Division                   1st Prize $1,000.00*            2nd 
Prize $500.00

University Division                     1st Prize $500.00                       
2nd Prize $200.00

*The Oklahoma City Philharmonic and Dubuque Symphony Orchestras will
determine the potential for the First Prize winner in the Professional
Division to be invited to appear as a guest soloist. 



The deadline for applications is August 1, 2005.  For information

We encourage all participants and adjudicators to book accommodations
early due to the fact that the general university population will also
be arriving for classes the following week.
