I think one of the main characters in "Six Feet Under" cheats on her horn player boyfriend in season 3. I caught one episode where he walks in carrying his horn and discovers her with her old lover.
I appreciate the "Back to the Future" sighting and want to note that the case was a "period" molded wood case typical of the 50's. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Joe Scarpelli Sent: Monday, May 30, 2005 6:23 AM To: 'The Horn List' Subject: RE: [Hornlist] Other Horn Sightings One of my favorite horn sightings was from the movie "Fame" where 1 or 2 horn players were practicing in the Boy's room sitting in the stalls. As I graduated from Performing Arts in '68 before the movie was made, I like to think it was modeled after "me and Steve". Today I was watching parts of the Road to Wellsville and in an outdoor brass ensemble all the instruments were shiny and very modern looking for something that was supposed to be around the turn of the century. Which makes me wonder... did they have lacquered brass instruments around 1900? -William _______________________________________________ post: horn@music.memphis.edu unsubscribe or set options at http://music.memphis.edu/mailman/options/horn/joescarpelli%40earthlink.net _______________________________________________ post: horn@music.memphis.edu unsubscribe or set options at http://music.memphis.edu/mailman/options/horn/pandolfi%40deerfield.edu _______________________________________________ post: horn@music.memphis.edu unsubscribe or set options at http://music.memphis.edu/mailman/options/horn/archive%40jab.org
