Readers:

This is to announce the rapidly approaching deadline to register for
the International Horn Competition of America.  All applications and
fees should be postmarked no later than August 1, 2005.  The event will
be hosted at the University of Oklahoma on August 18-21.

Schedule:

Thurs.  Aug 18
9:30 AM  - Registration begins  (rehearsals and perfomance times will
be given at registration)
7:00 PM  - Orientation and Introduction of Professional and University
Panel.  Round table
                 discussions and Q&A will follow

Friday. Aug. 19
9:00 AM - noon  First Round
1:30 PM - 5 PM   First Round
7 PM - 10 PM      First Round

Saturday.  Aug 20
9:00 AM - noon  First Round Concludes
1:30 PM - 5 PM   Second Round
7:00 PM - 10 PM  Contestant/Adjudicator Feeback session

Sunday, Aug. 21
9:00 AM - noon  Final Round Rehearsals
1 PM                   University Division Finals
3 PM                   Professional Division Finals
5 PM                   Awards Ceremony


We have a very distinguished panel of judges for this event.  This will
be a perfect venue for young artists to network and meet with leading
performers/teachers.  All participants will have opportunity to meet
and talk with these people regarding musical performance.  This is an
event that should not be missed.  All contestants to enter are winners!
