The Western Horn Symposium is held every 2 years on the UNLV campus in Las Vegas in late October/early November. The next one is in 2006. Also of interest in the west is the annual A.I.R. Horns retreat on MLK weekend each January near Payson Arizona. I am told that this year there will also be a weekend workshop in Tempe, Arizona on the Arizona State University campus in the fall hosted by Dr. Ericson; I'm sure he will post some information about this as it becomes available.
