I had one of these Besson horns in silver plated brass. According to the serial number it was made in the mid 1960s.
It had quite a few dents and re-soldered joints, but played VERY well. So well, in fact, that a Pro player bought it from me. I had hoped to keep the horn, but he wanted it badly and made me a good offer. Said he liked the tone much more than any of the several Alex 103s he had.
