Nearly four years ago I announced that I was coming back to this list after a five-year childbearing hiatus. Before that I had made my post-college comeback, having nearly broken into the professional scene before I got knocked up. Well, a few days after I made that announcement in February of 2002, guess what - I found out that #3 was on the way . Now, I know that it's possible to have kids and still be a successful horn player, or a successful anything, but sometimes it just don't work out that way. Little kids can come with major problems. I have just two words of advice to any young women out there who are really serious about making a career out of horn playing (or even old 39-year-olds like me):
Birth. Control. That's all I'm going to say about that. In the meantime, I've kept my web site, http://hornmidi.com, more or less running. It has a new look and I'm working on a lot of new music to add to it. Check it out. -- Sharon Zurflieh [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://home.wi.rr.com/zurf _______________________________________________ post: horn@music.memphis.edu unsubscribe or set options at http://music2.memphis.edu/mailman/options/horn/archive%40jab.org
