Hi Mike, The 5802K has undergone some changes, and is now more of a true Geyer wrap. This model is being released in a couple of months. The difference in appearance is that the branches entering and leaving the valve cluster are straight instead of curved "Knopf" style. I'm a bit biased, as I have been working closely with Gerhard Meinl (Meinl-Weston Tubas) who how owns the Hoyer factory, but I also think the Hoyer sounds much better. They will be priced competitively with the Yamaha. Feel free to contact me directly if you would like more info.
