Hi all,

I just got hold of a 1952 Conn 4D single f horn. It caught my eye as the bell
throat seemed larger than my 'medium' bell 10D of 1999. It is significantly
larger in the throat, but perhaps not as large as a 'large' bell horn.

Did Conn bell sizes vary over time, or is this one an anomaly. While it is
significantly 'distressed' (and corroded in places) after a half century in the
sweaty hands of schoolchildren, it plays very well.

Tom
