hi- I am getting the idea already that perhaps people misunderstood me and I am sorry if this was unclear, let me straighten out before too many reply. I am not saying that "I don't need to learn theory because I am a performance major." I hate that attitude and totally believe the opposite. I was just curious, since the topic of ear-training had come up, as to how much other music programs emphasize this over practice and performance, and if, as an undergraduate, I should be worried about not spending enough time on Kopprasch instead of analyzing Beethoven piano sonatas.
