There was no Czech Republic in 1910.

The instrument, a compensating double, still looks like a pre-WWI Bohemian 
instrument originally
built to high pitch and later on taken down to A=440 by means of lengthened 
tuning slides. The
sock-shape of the F tuning slide is very typical for that operation also on 
other instruments. I
have a Cerveny Kaiserbariton with the same feature.

In general I am biased against compensating rotary horns aside from the 
Walzenhörner. If you buy
this one for playing purposes, you may very likely get disappointed due to 
leaky valves. At best
it may be a collectorÂ’s item, but then it is anonymous. In that context it is 
wildly overpriced.
