Bob Osmund is the seller of the well-documented descant horn, which I mentioned
at the end of my
original posting for comparative purposes.

The instrument, of which I wanted identification, was offered by a German
non-brass-specialist
seller. With whom I of course have communicated. In German.

As a wanna-be brass historian I attempted to sketch the background for the
potentially two
different interpretations of the given instrument. I must have failed badly
according to your
posting.

Bob Osmun and I are very well aware of each other’s existence. If I ask Bob
Osmun a question, I
get an answer.

Sorry, that I confused you by my bad English,

Klaus Smedegaard Bjerre
