Dear list,

I am writing to ask advice for an upcoming performance. I will be playing
Britten's Serenade next month on my graduate recital (with piano). It occurred
to us during rehearsal that the audience (which, unlike an IHS symposium) may
not realize there is a final movement, since I will not be on stage. Without a
conductor to keep his baton in the air, how should I alert the audience to the
fact that it is not over? I will have all movements listed in the program, and
am planning on making program notes. Is there anything else I can do to let
the audience know that we're not finished, and to hold the applause until the
end?

Thanks,

Anna
