Absolutely. There might be some confusion about which oil is which. He dropped valve oil down the tubes, and used the spindle oil on the ends. That's equivalent to sewing machine oil. I might quibble about dropping the valve oil down the tubes, which might wash the slide grease into the valves. That would be OK with a long needle on the oil bottle, so the oil doesn't touch the surface of the tube.
