Once again, Jeremy. Do you know how we handled such problems in the past , if there were such problems ? We got some music paper & wrote the parts out by OURSELVES with the great advantage, that we got the music into our brain the same time WITHOUT another extra effort. Believe me, it works perfectly. As we had no copy machines & no PC & no music writing program then, we copied full concertos by hand, even the full set of orchestra material, all separate violin parts hand written one by one. A hell of night long writing. But it worked well.
Admitted, TV was not running 24 hours on hundreds of channels; we did not frequent discos; we had no stupid computer games. Things were better balanced perhaps. We had not to "hammer in" pieces into our brain, we "wrote them into our brain". This lasts much better. ============================================================ =============================================== -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Jeremy Cucco Sent: Monday, July 02, 2007 1:56 PM To: horn@music.memphis.edu Subject: [Hornlist] Leonore 3 Horn Parts Howdy guys and gals! Just checking to see if anyone out there has original E horn parts to Leonore No. 3 that they may be willing to e-mail me. (It's public domain- no copyright issues.) I just got the parts for our season opener and they're the transposed F parts (except Horn IV which we have both E and F). It was really frustrating in rehearsal- I was hearing it in E, remembered playing it in E, but the part in F...I can't tell you how many times I accidentally transposed on instinct only to be a half step low. If you have them and are willing to send them, e-mail me offline and we'll make arrangements. Thanks in advance!! Jeremy No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition.
