Excellent advice Tim! Also, one additional note - Bona has improved his zippers on his MB1-MB3 cases with the addition of a metal stop where the zippers come together. The newer cases (and of course the MB5-MB7) are a lot better than they used to be in regards to their zippers. My MB5 has withstood daily trips in and out of my car and then on-location and back again for the past year and I could sell the case as "like new" right now.

Or in the case of my MB, weak stitching around the zipper had to be resewn. There are other things like that that can cause a zipper to stop working. But it is fairly uncommon for zippers to actually break to the point that they need to be replaced. I have saved hundreds, maybe thousands, of dollars on horn cases, backpacks, suitcases and what not after having discovered this.
