I am pleased to announce that a Regional Horn Workshop will take place on April 12, 2008 at Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. Our Special Guest Artist will be Kendall Betts. Other guests will include Mark Fischer, Principal Horn of the Orlando Philharmonic, Pamela Titus, from our neighboring University of Central Florida, and William C. Robinson formerly of Baylor University and Florida State University, well know to us all as an IHS Founder. The Workshop will run from 9 to 4. In the evening at 8 PM there will be a performance of Mahler Symphony No. 2 by the Winter Park Bach Festival Choir and Orchestra. Now in it's 73rd year, the Bach Festival has been acclaimed to be one of the finest in the US. The performance will take place in the Knowles Memorial Chapel on the Rollins Campus. Kendall will also be a guest horn player in the orchestra. There is also a repeat performance on Sunday, April 13 at 3PM. I invite you to join us.
