File under the category Stupid Pet Tricks - mild curiosity, mildly entertaining. I've seen trumpeters play each others' instruments simultaneously. It would have been more impressive had both flautists been playing their own flute while fingering the other's. I know a woodwind teacher who convinces kids to play clarinet by turning the mouthpiece around, having the kid buzz the mouthpiece while he fingers the clarinet - all to show the child that playing clarinet is not all that hard.
