Are you interested in digital or analog?
I use an Edirol R-09 digital recorder and I'm 100% happy with it. I do have a Walkman Pro for those occasions when I need to transfer cassette content to my 'puter.
In any case, I'm sure a Google search would net several forums would point you to a mailing list.
