Looks like Alan Civil to me as well, but perhaps my eyes are deceiving me, I thought that he played an Alex 103? Is it just the glare and my poor tired eyes?

Looks like Alan Civil to me. He was a member (& presumably Principal Horn) of the New Philharmonia until 1966, when he left to join the BBCSO (thanks to his obituary on hornplayer.net for that!).
